Senior Cost Accountant, Manufacturing (Medtech)

Location: Lincoln, Rhode Island, United States; workplace: on-site. The role supports North American operations, including a manufacturing facility in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 per year plus bonus, commensurate with experience and credentials.

What you will do

• Maintain and analyze standard costs, manufacturing variances, inventory valuation, and product margins.
• Support standard cost updates, inventory counts, cycle count programs, reconciliations, and related financial reporting.
• Analyze labor, material, purchase price, and manufacturing overhead variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Partner with Operations and other departments to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve inventory accuracy, and enhance manufacturing performance.
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, forecasts, budgeting, audits, and tax compliance support.
• Contribute to ERP enhancements, process improvements, internal controls, and strategic finance initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
• 3+ years of progressive manufacturing cost accounting experience and the ability to partner with operations leadership.
• Experience with standard costing, inventory accounting, and manufacturing environments.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, work independently, and contribute to a collaborative environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, inventory accounting, and manufacturing cost accounting principles.
