Experienced Electrical Engineer

Location: Onsite across Henderson offices in the United States, including Philadelphia, Dallas, Kansas City, Lenexa, Washington, D.C., New York City, Los Angeles, Bentonville, Houston, St. Louis, Las Vegas, Denver, Phoenix, and Nashville; job-site visits are required.

Salary: $68,880–$120,048 annually, depending on location and labor-market differentials.

What you will do

• Design, coordinate, document, and deliver electrical building systems.
• Prepare system layouts, drawings, schematics, design documents, and related technical documentation.
• Support engineering calculations, basic design tasks, product and system research, and applicable code reviews.
• Review shop drawings, participate in field verification, and visit job sites for observation and professional development.
• Contribute to business-development pursuits and attend client, company, or industry events when needed.
• Develop proficiency with industry-standard engineering software and continuously expand technical expertise.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field and one year of relevant experience, or four years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of engineering design, A&E industry practices, codes, design guides, and standards.
• Proficiency with engineering design software applicable to the discipline; Revit and Bluebeam Revu proficiency is preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude, critical-thinking, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively, lead less experienced designers, receive feedback, and adjust to coaching.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility will be verified.

Nice to have

• Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
• Relevant certifications such as BEMP, CPD, CDP, NICET, or RCDD.
