Space Systems Cost Analyst (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in El Segundo, California, United States

Salary: $65,000–$80,000 per year, depending on education and experience.

What you will do

• Develop cost estimates and cost models for satellite, ground, and launch systems.
• Work with program managers, engineers, and technical analysts to identify requirements, acquisition approaches, and risks.
• Evaluate historical program data and perform detailed statistical analysis.
• Develop predictive methodologies for established and emerging technologies.
• Support budget requests and inquiries by communicating complex technical and analytical findings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, business, or a related technical field.
• 2–5 years of professional experience.
• Experience with data analytics across small and large datasets, including trend identification and predictive analysis.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills for analyzing large datasets and presenting results.
• Ability to work independently and solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for Top Secret/SCI clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Department of Defense acquisition or aerospace experience.
• Experience with Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, ACEIT, R, or Python.
• Strong statistical, mathematical, technical, engineering, and strategic thinking skills.
