Systems Administrator

Location: On-site at The Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia; active DoD security clearance and US citizenship required.

Salary: $70,000–$110,000 per year, depending on education and experience.

What you will do

• Support the Cost Assessment Data Enterprise office and its IT environment.
• Administer Microsoft Windows Server, SQL Server, and IIS in a virtual environment.
• Collaborate with systems administrators and software developers to design solutions and resolve system issues.
• Support developers and project management with reporting and administrative requirements.
• Configure systems and maintain compliance with security policies and applicable NIST practices.

Requirements

• Active DoD security clearance and US citizenship are required.
• Preferably 7–10+ years of experience in computer systems administration.
• Experience with Windows R2 Servers, SQL Server, and IIS.
• Current CompTIA Network+ and Security+ certifications.
• Knowledge of security, LAN/WAN architectures, system protocols, and NIST standards and practices.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred, particularly in management information systems, mathematics, or engineering; additional degrees or certifications may substitute for experience.

Nice to have

• Ability to obtain DoD IA Level II certification.
• Knowledge of Host Based Security System (HBSS).
