System/Network Administrator 2 (Linux/Windows)

Location: On-site in Laurel, Maryland, United States. United States Citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance with an agency-appropriate polygraph are required.

Salary: $76.04–$102.97 per hour, before benefits.

What you will do

• Support the implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and daily operation of IT systems.
• Monitor and resolve issues across client, server, storage, network, and mobile-device environments.
• Provide Tier 2 escalation and Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Configure and manage virtual, storage, and network environments.
• Administer Linux and Windows operating systems, including installation, maintenance, integrity, and performance improvements.
• Analyze capacity and resource utilization and communicate escalated issue status to agency management and internal customers.

Requirements

• TS/SCI security clearance with an agency-appropriate polygraph.
• United States Citizenship.
• Ten years of system administration experience on programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Knowledge of SQL and Active Directory.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or five additional years of system administration experience in lieu of the degree.

Nice to have

• Database administration experience covering database security, integrity, availability, recovery, performance tuning, indexing, monitoring, and user accounts.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and Sybase.
• Knowledge of database management system evaluation and software life-cycle activities.
