Senior DevSecOps Engineer

Location: Herndon, VA; requires working 90% or as needed in a SCIF environment

Salary: $140,000–$187,000–$205,700 annually for the Washington, DC metropolitan area

What you will do

• Configure, monitor, and maintain a private cloud environment using OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Create repeatable infrastructure and environment configuration through Infrastructure as Code with Ansible, Chef, or similar tools.
• Build and maintain automated DevSecOps pipelines using ArgoCD, GitLab, SonarQube, Cucumber, JMeter, and Cypress.
• Monitor, predict, update, and resolve issues across bare-metal operating systems and deployed applications.
• Manage ATO accreditation compliance through system tuning, patching, and documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary SAFe Agile teams and communicate technical concepts to customers and colleagues.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly, or willingness to obtain a CI poly, are required.
• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of professional experience in a technical support role; additional experience may substitute for the degree.
• Technical experience with DevSecOps, strong Linux expertise, and open-source or custom application deployment and maintenance.
• Ability to work effectively with geographically distributed operations and development teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with customers and internal teams.
• Availability to work 90% or as needed in a SCIF in Herndon, VA.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting IC and DoD networks, military or intelligence environments, TCPED systems, or government computing environments.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, IaaS/PaaS, web services, backend GIS technologies, ICD 503, and big data technologies such as Elasticsearch, Accumulo, Spark, Hive, or Hadoop.
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud and on-premises architecture, Red Hat, AWS, C2S, OpenShift, databases, data integration, data visualization, and user interfaces.
• CompTIA Security+ or a comparable certification for privileged user access.
