DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States; office environment required

Salary: $102,000–$255,000 per year

What you will do

• Deploy and manage applications across distributed environments.
• Install, configure, and optimize complex software solutions.
• Administer servers, networks, firewalls, load balancers, and related technology tools.
• Monitor system performance and maintain systems against strict security and reliability standards.
• Troubleshoot outages and resolve issues to support mission continuity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
• Expertise with Linux administration, AWS, virtualization, networking, firewalls, load balancers, Terraform, Docker, Docker Compose, Docker Swarm, PKI, and Git.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
• U.S. person status and current U.S. citizenship are required due to ITAR and contract requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ansible, Kubernetes, API gateways, ELK, Python, relational and NoSQL databases, Kafka, Hazelcast, NiFi, ZooKeeper, Nginx, and HAProxy.
• Experience troubleshooting Java and Spring Boot applications.
• Familiarity with eVo, CoDE, UWE, Agile practices, Jira, and Confluence.
