Senior Software Engineer - DevOps

Location: San Jose, California; SF Bay Area candidates only

Targeted compensation: $140,000–$150,000 OTE annually, excluding corporate bonus and restricted stock options.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain internal DevOps tools, engineering infrastructure, CI/CD workflows, and release processes.
• Build automated infrastructure provisioning frameworks for hybrid clouds and on-premise environments using infrastructure as code.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for software products, AI services, and LLM models.
• Integrate unit, security, vulnerability, smoke, static analysis, and other tests into CI/CD workflows.
• Provide technical support to internal engineering customers and troubleshoot DevOps and development environments.
• Participate in technical design and code reviews, document procedures, and research AI-driven tooling.

Requirements

• Experience with DevOps, infrastructure, tooling, build systems, release engineering, and CI/CD automation.
• Experience with public cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP and on-premise infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, OpenShift, CloudStack, OpenNebula, or comparable orchestration tools.
• Hands-on scripting and automation experience with Python, Linux shell, Go, Groovy, Perl, or similar languages.
• Experience with software build systems, branching strategies, release processes, and engineering tools for software or SaaS products.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, plus 2+ years of related experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with GitLab, GitHub, JIRA, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Artifactory, Make, Docker, Podman, Maven, npm, or Go build processes.
• Linux RHEL/Ubuntu administration, package management, user and group management, and NFS experience.
• Knowledge of virtualization and observability tools such as KVM, VMware ESXi, Proxmox, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch, or Kibana.
