Senior Software Engineer - DevOps

Location: San Jose, California; SF Bay Area candidates only

Targeted compensation: $140,000–$150,000 OTE, excluding corporate bonus and restricted stock options.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain internal DevOps tools, engineering infrastructure, CI/CD workflows, and release processes.
• Build automated infrastructure provisioning frameworks for hybrid clouds and on-premise environments using infrastructure as code.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for products, including AI services and LLM models.
• Integrate unit, security, vulnerability, smoke, and static-analysis testing into CI/CD workflows.
• Support engineering users, troubleshoot development environments, and improve engineering productivity.
• Participate in technical design and code reviews and document procedures for knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• DevOps, infrastructure, tooling, build, and release experience.
• Experience with public clouds such as OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP and on-premise infrastructure.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, OpenShift, CloudStack, or comparable orchestration tools.
• Hands-on scripting and automation experience with Python, Linux shell, Go, Groovy, Perl, or similar languages.
• Experience with CI/CD automation, branching strategies, software build systems, release processes, and engineering tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field and 2+ years of relevant experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with GitLab, GitHub, JIRA, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Artifactory, Docker, Podman, Maven, npm, or Go build systems.
• Linux administration experience with RHEL or Ubuntu, package management, NFS, and user/group management.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as KVM, VMware ESXi, Proxmox, or Docker containers.
• Knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch, Kibana, or comparable observability tools.
