Automation Maintenance Technician (Robotics)

Location: DYMC Dayton Mix Center, Dayton, United States; on-site role with 12-hour shifts in a 24/7 operation.

Starting pay: $27.70 per hour, increasing to $28.80 per hour after six months, plus shift premiums of $0.50 per hour for days, $2.00 per hour for nights, and $2.50 per hour for rotating shifts.

What you will do

• Maintain and troubleshoot autonomous robots, automated conveyors, and material handling systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, calibrations, and equipment repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical and system issues to minimize downtime.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify potential problems using data.
• Lead continuous improvement projects focused on reliability, quality, and efficiency.
• Share technical knowledge and support the development of other team members.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least two years of mechanical or technical experience in manufacturing or a similar industrial environment.
• Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment.
• Familiarity with conveyors, pumps, compressors, motors, gears, bearings, automated equipment, or robotics systems.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision instruments.
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, plus strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Technical school, trade school, apprenticeship, or an associate degree in a related field.
