Business Interruption Insurance Consultant (Financial Analysis)

What you will do

• Review and analyze P&L statements, accounting ledgers, operational data, and other financial records.
• Design and develop financial, damages, and database models using Excel.
• Perform data analytics across large volumes of disparate datasets.
• Prepare and audit quantitative and qualitative work products for quality and accuracy.
• Conduct industry and market research, summarize findings, and develop action plans.
• Support the preparation of expert witness testimony, litigation reports, demonstratives, and complex business insurance claims.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, economics, statistics, or a related field.
• 2–6 years of experience at an accounting or consulting firm in auditing or financial analysis.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot or Claude for research, data analysis, content development, and workflow efficiency.

Nice to have

• Big Four auditing or advisory experience.
• CPA certification or progress toward certification.
• Experience in financial auditing, forensic accounting, economic consulting, or commercial litigation damages analysis.
