Financial Analyst (Insurance)

Location: Falls Church, Virginia, United States

Salary: $70,000–$80,000 per year

What you will do

• Analyze monthly production results and prepare revenue roll-forwards by line of business and operating company.
• Prepare monthly forecasts, annual budgets, expense forecasts, and narrative analysis comparing actual, forecast, and budget results.
• Review transactions in Sagitta, BenefitPoint, HR data, CRM pipeline data, and revenue trends for accuracy.
• Complete monthly financial close and reporting, including production analysis, producer compensation, audits, chargebacks, journal entries, and management reports.
• Coordinate compensation settlements and validate quarterly corporate producer award incentive data.
• Collaborate with Finance and IT to improve data flows, reporting systems, and analysis.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or accounting.
• Strong analytical, technical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with minimal instruction and collaborate across staff and management levels.

Nice to have

• Experience in the insurance field.
• SAP experience.
