Alternative Credit Analyst

Salary: $85,000–$100,000 base salary annually, plus annual bonus target

What you will do

• Evaluate structured fixed income securities, with a primary focus on collateralized loan obligations and additional exposure to asset-backed securities and business development companies.
• Build financial models and perform quantitative and qualitative investment analysis.
• Make investment recommendations based on credit risk, research and valuation.
• Collaborate with traders and analysts to identify potentially mispriced corporate bonds and provide pricing guidance for new purchases.
• Monitor issuer credit quality, market trends, yields, duration and relative value across fixed income sectors.
• Present sector coverage and investment recommendations to colleagues and communicate investment performance to client relationship teams.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree with superior academic achievement.
• Knowledge of one or more fixed income industries and current market trends.
• Strong quantitative, qualitative, conceptual and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to analyze complex issues, make sound decisions and communicate recommendations clearly.
• Strong relationship management, negotiation, influencing, oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is required.

Nice to have

• Up to four years of relevant experience; prior experience is helpful but not required.
• Knowledge of BBH products, services, practices and investment philosophy.
