Location: Onsite in Downtown Los Angeles, California, United States. Hours may include evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak event periods. does not provide relocation assistance.
Annual base salary: $88,000–$115,000.

What you will do
- Lead permitting for Olympic and Paralympic venues, temporary structures, overlay installations, and operational facilities.
- Build permitting schedules aligned with construction, operational readiness, and Games-time milestones.
- Identify and manage permits, approvals, licenses, inspections, renewals, and close-out requirements across city, county, state, and federal jurisdictions.
- Coordinate with building and safety, fire, planning and zoning, public works, transportation, environmental, coastal, state, and federal agencies.
- Partner with internal functions, consultants, architects, engineers, contractors, and government stakeholders to resolve permitting issues and produce permit-ready documentation.
- Maintain permit logs, dashboards, budgets, schedules, executive reports, and critical-path risk escalations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Urban Planning, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in permitting, planning, construction management, infrastructure delivery, or regulatory compliance.
- Experience managing permits for large-scale construction, sports venues, entertainment events, infrastructure projects, or public events.
- Strong knowledge of California permitting processes, municipal approvals, building and safety regulations, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience working with multiple government agencies and Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
- Strong project management, organization, communication, presentation, prioritization, and problem-solving skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, SharePoint, Bluebeam, and project management software.
Nice to have
- Experience with special events, stadiums, entertainment venues, or Olympic-scale operations.
- Knowledge of temporary event structures and special event permitting.
- Familiarity with CEQA, NEPA, ADA, public assembly requirements, and the California Building Code.
- PMP certification or related project management credentials.
- Existing relationships with Southern California regulatory agencies.
