TL;DR
Outside Property Claim Associate (Insurance): Reviewing, investigating, documenting, and evaluating first-party property claims for residential and commercial losses with an accent on policy interpretation, damage scoping, customer communication, and claims documentation. Focus on building independent claims-handling skills through structured training, inspecting structures and roofs during catastrophe deployments, and adapting to AI and digital transformation tools.

Location: Memphis, Tennessee; candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate at their own expense to the assigned territory. The role is based remotely with mobile work at residential and commercial locations, from the primary residence, or at the nearest hirify.global office. Catastrophe deployments to other states may be required.

Annual base salary: $52,600–$86,800, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

  • Complete a structured 9–12 month training program covering insurance policies, claim processes, systems, and procedures.
  • Review, investigate, evaluate, and document first-party property claims under supervision.
  • Gather information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and third-party providers.
  • Interpret policy coverage and establish accurate scopes of building and contents damage for written or computer-assisted estimates.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, claimants, agents, and internal stakeholders while maintaining accurate claim records.
  • Participate in catastrophe response deployments and inspect structures, roofs, attics, crawl spaces, and other areas as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and at least one year of customer service experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Bachelor's degree and prior customer service or insurance experience are preferred qualifications.
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain an adjuster or other required insurance license, generally within three months of starting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with willingness to learn claims management and estimating software.
  • Ability to climb a 38–49-pound ladder, walk on roofs, enter tight spaces, manage physical inspections, communicate clearly, make sound decisions, and handle multiple priorities.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Internship or work experience in customer service or insurance.
  • UAS Remote Pilot Certification, where required for the role.
