Manager, Venue Infrastructure Delivery

Location: Los Angeles office, United States; in-person presence required. Occasional venue visits and on-site work are required, with extended hours possible during critical build milestones, Games-time preparations, evenings, weekends, and event days. LA28 does not provide relocation assistance.

Annual base salary: $88,000–$115,000.

LA28 is an independent, non-profit, privately funded organizing committee delivering the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.

What you will do

• Manage the end-to-end design, build, and delivery of a key Games-time venue.
• Supervise design-related sub-functions and support a team of 3–4 staff members as deputy to the Senior Manager.
• Coordinate architecture, engineering, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to develop coordinated venue designs.
• Facilitate technical requirements, stakeholder reviews, approvals, and IOC and IPC engagement.
• Manage departmental budgets, deliverables, change, and risk throughout venue delivery.
• Transition the work from design development to construction, on-site execution, and final delivery.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant industry experience in event overlay design and temporary infrastructure delivery.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in architecture, engineering, sports management, construction management, event management, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of California Building Code requirements is preferred.
• Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders and senior executives across multiple functional areas.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, problem-solving, negotiation, and risk-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office suite products.

Nice to have

• Experience in event operations, logistics, hospitality, or a related field.
• Familiarity with temporary infrastructure projects.
