Sr. Manager, Energy Operations Group Lead

Location: hirify.global office in Los Angeles, California, United States. This is a full-time office-based position with travel to stakeholder offices, government agencies, Games venues, and facilities as needed.

Annual base salary: $105,000–$140,000, dependent on experience. hirify.global does not provide relocation assistance.

What you will do

• Lead coordination among hirify.global stakeholders, facility owners, utilities, temporary power providers, electrical engineers, unions, and trade schools.
• Oversee the design, installation, testing, operation, and decommissioning of temporary electrical overlay systems across Games venues.
• Develop testing plans for generators, battery energy storage systems, hybrid grids, failover scenarios, grounding, relay protection, and load-bank performance.
• Manage procurement, international freight, customs documentation, asset tracking, staging-yard inspections, warranties, and delivery schedules for temporary power equipment.
• Create and enforce LOTO procedures, group permit-to-work systems, safety audits, multilingual training, and emergency-response integration.
• Build remote energy monitoring capabilities, including IoT telemetry, EOC dashboards, automated alerts, fuel optimization, and sustainability reporting.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience managing electrical infrastructure installation, preferably in construction, sports, or live events.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or construction management, with experience assessing, designing, or implementing electrical infrastructure.
• Experience with electrical engineering design documents, electric utilities, temporary power providers, and energy solutions integrated into electrical designs.
• Experience leading people, standardizing requirements and procedures, training teams, managing performance, and coordinating diverse stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, critical-thinking, communication, presentation, collaboration, and risk-management skills.
• Fluent use of Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM360.

Nice to have

• Experience in critical infrastructure, building construction, temporary electrical installations, or major sporting and live-event programs.
• Experience with medium-voltage and low-voltage systems, generators, BESS, hybrid grids, IoT telemetry, or remote energy monitoring.
• Experience working with international labor, unions, accreditation, work permits, and venue operations.
