Manager, Civil Engineering

Location: Onsite in Downtown Los Angeles, California, United States, with travel to venue sites and partner offices as needed. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Annual base salary: $120,000–$140,000.

What you will do

• Lead the civil engineering aspects of venue design books and advance designs through required schedule milestones.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into cost-effective, constructable civil engineering solutions across multiple venues.
• Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines and oversee external resources.
• Integrate civil works requirements with Accessibility, Energy, Technology, Cost, and Procurement functions.
• Identify delivery and procurement risks and support savings opportunities.
• Help ensure venues are safe, compliant, fit for purpose, and ready for Games-time operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering infrastructure design and construction.
• Accredited Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related engineering field.
• Knowledge of site preparation, earthwork, drainage, vehicular circulation, utility connections, and fire and life safety requirements.
• Experience supporting complex permit applications with authorities having jurisdiction.
• Experience leading diverse teams on complex, high-profile infrastructure projects.
• Strong organizational, communication, collaboration, and fundamental project management skills, including scope, schedule, and budget management.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineering license in California.
• Project management or construction certifications.
• Experience with design, construction, and civil works permitting in the United States and California.
