Registered Nurse III - PRN - East Texas

Location: Crockett, Texas; onsite, part-time, Monday–Friday

What you will do

• Provide direct patient care, health evaluations, triage, treatments, medication administration, and preventive education.
• Deliver nursing services through the school-based Mobile Clinic in accordance with professional nursing standards.
• Drive to schools and patients’ homes in a university vehicle to provide clinical services.
• Operate and maintain the Mobile Clinic, including medical supply, medication, equipment inventory, requisitions, and sterilization.
• Maintain patient records, assess healthcare needs, educate patients, and report patient progress and data.
• Participate in team meetings, community coalitions, outreach, training, and professional development.

Requirements

• Four years of clinical nursing experience.
• Texas RN license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Texas Class C driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
• Associate degree in Nursing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to use electronic medical records, communicate effectively, maintain confidentiality, multitask, and work a flexible schedule.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
• Electronic health records experience, preferably eCW.
