Registered Nurse, Urgent Care

Location: Onsite at a Harvard or Harvard-designated location in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States. Standard schedule is 32 hours per week, Monday through Wednesday, with work every other weekend from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Salary grade 057; the corresponding salary range is provided through Harvard's salary ranges.

What you will do

• Assess patients and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and coordinate care plans.
• Provide health maintenance, episodic, acute, chronic, urgent, and emergent care for adolescent, adult, and older adult patients.
• Perform telephone, secure-message, in-person triage, follow-up consultations, and patient education.
• Review laboratory and X-ray results, manage medications, initiate and monitor IV infusions, and assist with clinical procedures.
• Document assessments, interventions, evaluations, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Support other clinical areas, mentor colleagues, and assist with patients experiencing chronic conditions or behavioral health challenges.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with at least one year of relevant work experience.
• Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts required.
• At least two years of specialty clinic or ambulatory experience, including one year of triage experience.
• Previous urgent care or emergency department experience.
• Experience with electronic medical records and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate Excel skills.
• All duties must be performed at a Harvard or Harvard-designated location; Harvard cannot provide visa sponsorship.
