Location: Fort Worth, Texas; primarily in-office on the Texas A&M–Fort Worth campus with regular on-site presence required. Up to 20% travel to rural clinical sites, stakeholder meetings, or outreach events may be required.

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.

What you will do

  • Deliver comprehensive preconception, prenatal, antenatal, and postpartum care through one year postpartum using secure telehealth platforms.
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage low- to moderate-risk obstetric conditions, collaborating with physicians and specialists on high-risk pregnancies.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies, prescribe treatments, and maintain accurate documentation, coding, and billing across clinical systems.
  • Coordinate care across rural clinics, hospitals, specialty providers, and community partners while addressing medical, behavioral health, and social drivers of health.
  • Support rural-site onboarding, outreach, stakeholder engagement, and integration of maternal health workflows.
  • Participate in quality improvement, case review, interdisciplinary collaboration, and grant-related reporting on maternal outcomes and access metrics.

Requirements

  • Master of Science in Nursing degree.
  • Four years of related obstetric clinical experience as an APRN, including high-risk pregnancy and Maternal-Fetal Medicine collaboration, telehealth, and electronic fetal monitoring.
  • Active, unrestricted Texas APRN license.
  • Board certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife, Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner, or Family Nurse Practitioner.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program and Basic Life Support certifications.
  • Ability to comply with Texas APRN regulations, collaborative practice agreements, DEA requirements, HIPAA, telehealth laws, and professional liability standards.

Nice to have

  • Electronic fetal monitoring certification through NCC or AWHONN.
  • Experience in rural, underserved, telehealth, remote patient monitoring, or multi-site clinical settings.
  • Experience with perinatal quality improvement, medical billing and coding, ultrasonography, or prenatal, childbirth, and lactation education.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.
