What you will do
- Own global IT procurement categories and develop strategies from the business-partnering stage through tactical execution.
- Develop and maintain 3–5-year strategic plans, category plans, procurement strategies, and sourcing plans.
- Lead sourcing processes, including transaction structuring, contract negotiation, supplier issue resolution, and financing strategy development.
- Manage stakeholder partnerships and bring external market insights aligned with business objectives.
- Lead, teach, and direct Sourcing Associates and Sourcing Analysts through category management and strategic sourcing processes.
- Coordinate with legal, finance, business leadership, suppliers, and technology organizations to achieve strong business outcomes and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 8–10 years of business experience, including at least 6 years in procurement or sales.
- Knowledge of IT concepts, software licensing, intellectual property, contracting, escrow, software compliance, maintenance, and support.
- Understanding of cloud service models, software technologies, IT consulting roles, product lifecycles, and the global value chain.
- Experience negotiating software licensing, support, and maintenance agreements.
- Experience leading or influencing teams, managing stakeholders, and working on cross-functional or global teams.
- Project management, procurement and sourcing process knowledge, and understanding of financial valuation, working capital, cash flow, accrual accounting, and revenue recognition.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree or MBA.
- R&D or pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Pharmaceutical procurement experience.
- PMP certification.
