Global Category Manager - Indirect

Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite at the corporate headquarters

What you will do

• Develop and execute global indirect category strategies based on market intelligence, business needs, and supplier capabilities.
• Analyze spending, supply markets, and risks to identify optimal sourcing options and total cost of supply.
• Lead supplier selection, complex negotiations, strategic sourcing events, and cross-functional sourcing teams.
• Manage supplier performance across quality, cost, delivery, responsiveness, and innovation measures.
• Oversee contract development, execution, and lifecycle management.
• Track category performance, cost savings, supplier performance, risk mitigation, and compliance with internal, legal, and ethical requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent is preferred.
• At least 10 years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience, preferably in a global environment.
• Demonstrated success in category management, supplier negotiations, and cross-functional leadership.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with sourcing tools and ERP systems such as SAP, Ariba, or Coupa.
