Sales Associate I

Location: Petaluma, California, USA (Petaluma - Coach); onsite retail role

Base pay: $15.00–$24.25 per hour

What you will do

• Represent Coach as a brand ambassador and deliver personalized, elevated shopping experiences.
• Build client relationships through styling, fashion advice, product expertise, follow-up, and tailored recommendations.
• Drive individual and store sales through cross-selling, upselling, clienteling, social selling, and personal sales plans.
• Use mobile POS, clienteling tools, social media platforms, and short-form video to support customer engagement and repeat purchases.
• Process purchases, returns, exchanges, online pickups, cash-wrap tasks, and other daily store operations.
• Receive shipments, replenish merchandise, maintain inventory flow, support visual merchandising, and keep the sales floor and stockroom organized.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of sales experience; luxury retail experience is preferred.
• Strong English proficiency required.
• Experience operating POS systems and basic computer equipment, including iPad, laptop, and mobile POS.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple customers, and maintain a professional demeanor.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, public holidays, peak season, and high-traffic retail days.
• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly, up to 50 lbs occasionally, and maneuver through the sales floor and stockroom.

• Knowledge of fashion trends and competitors.
• Luxury retail background, social media fluency, live-stream shopping or video demonstration experience.
• Clienteling and customer data acquisition experience.
