Production Technician II - 2nd Shift (2:00pm - 10:30pm) (Aerospace)

Location: Burbank, California, United States; onsite manufacturing environment. US persons only due to controlled data access and ITAR requirements. Second shift: 2:00pm–10:30pm.

Hourly base range: $24.87–$31.74 USD per hour. Second-shift openings are eligible for a 10% shift differential.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components for aerospace and defense applications, including aircraft brake control systems and cabin actuation solutions.

What you will do

• Test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify assigned products, parts, equipment, and systems.
• Perform automated and manual testing using test consoles, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, flow meters, hydraulic equipment, and other specialized equipment.
• Calibrate and adjust units using electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and dimensional calculations.
• Prepare non-conformance reports documenting testing, failures, and initial root-cause findings.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve production test issues and support inspections and audits.
• Support Lean manufacturing initiatives including 5S, KPIs, standard work, and problem solving.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in a related field or equivalent educational experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Extensive knowledge of troubleshooting methods, circuitry or mechanical characteristics, and manufacturing or repair processes.
• Ability to learn test software and equipment, identify abnormal equipment and product conditions, and work across time-entry, data-entry, PDM, and MRP systems.
• Good spoken and written English communication skills, along with manual dexterity and precise coordinated movements.
• Must be a US person eligible to access ITAR-controlled data.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, manufacturing costs, and distribution techniques.
• Knowledge of engineering electronics, circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment, computer hardware, and software.
• Experience with microscope work or soldering.
