Production Technician

Location: Tanner, Alabama, United States; onsite

Salary: $25.00–$30.00 per hour, with an annual bonus attainment plan and benefits.

What you will do

• Operate mill equipment, mobile equipment, overhead cranes, material-handling devices, saws, cut-off devices, hand tools, and bundling equipment.
• Rotate through multiple positions and shifts within an operating department based on production needs.
• Monitor and operate computer-controlled manufacturing, production reporting, and HMI systems.
• Inspect, clean, and perform basic preventative maintenance on process equipment.
• Promote safe, reliable, cost-effective production and support lean manufacturing practices.
• Work overtime, rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required to support plant operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Industrial operations or manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and physical examination, including drug and alcohol screening.
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime, including weekends and holidays.
