Experienced Systems Engineer (Radar)

Location: Silver Spring, Maryland, United States. U.S. citizenship is required, and an active DoD Secret clearance plus the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance are required.

Salary: $90,000–$172,000 per year, depending on experience and location. Eligible for an annual performance bonus and potential equity or incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Perform Navy Combat System performance assessments through simulation setup, execution, data analysis, and results presentation.
• Support modeling and simulation development, enhancements, testing, and error correction.
• Manage task execution and report community activities, expectations, and results to senior staff.
• Interact regularly with U.S. Government customers on technical and operational matters.
• Document and present findings to technical, operational, and managerial audiences.
• Collaborate with radar systems and modeling and simulation engineers on Navy AAW and BMD systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Combat System engineering and assessment.
• 5+ years of experience in model and simulation development and execution.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable technical field grounded in physics and mathematics.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required, with eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for daily collaboration and presentations.

Nice to have

• Combat system design evaluation and testing experience covering sensors, command and control, and weapons.
• Interest in the Navy AEGIS Combat System and defense technology.
• Statistical analysis, signal processing, or track filtering experience.
• Willingness to work across technical and operational responsibilities.
