TL;DR
Radar Systems Analyst (Radar Systems/Matlab): Developing radar data reduction and analysis tools and analyzing sensor performance data for air and missile defense system architectures with an accent on radar performance, system requirements, and technical modeling. Focus on investigating why system functions fail to meet objectives, supporting integration and test activities, and communicating analytical recommendations to government stakeholders.

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States; onsite at the Huntsville location

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain MATLAB data reduction and analysis tools for sensor performance data.
  • Analyze system data against defined functions, objectives, and requirements.
  • Perform deep-dive investigations into system functions that do not meet objectives or requirements.
  • Support technical interchange meetings, program reviews, and integration and test working groups with analytical insights and recommendations.
  • Prepare technical reports, plans, briefs, and other documentation.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to government stakeholders supporting model accreditation and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or another applicable STEM field, plus approximately 2–5 years of related experience.
  • Programming knowledge in MATLAB, Python, and/or C++, including exposure to object-oriented programming.
  • Fundamental understanding of physical optics, electromagnetic radiation, radar systems, and radar performance principles.
  • Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and formulate logical solutions within prescribed schedules.
  • Ability to travel 15–20% of the time, subject to customer requirements.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Nice to have

  • Experience with radar hardware, radar architecture, or signal processing.
  • Experience with air and missile defense systems, flight or ground tests, system modeling and simulation, or sensor performance analysis.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, digital engineering, MBSE tools and concepts, systems engineering, data analysis, testing methods, requirements management, and model-to-system traceability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt communication to different audiences.
