System Protection Engineering Supervisor

What you will do

• Oversee engineers across the System Protection and Automation & Integration groups, providing mentoring, coaching, and performance support.
• Manage staff administration, including time and expense approvals, requisitions, training, safety, employee development, and evaluations.
• Coordinate workload, resource allocation, QA/QC, backlog forecasting, and priorities with project leads and department management.
• Prepare project proposals and estimates and contribute to technical presentations, marketing materials, trade shows, and client business development meetings.
• Assist with project management, including budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
• Serve as a Lead Engineer on assigned system protection projects.

Requirements

• Seven or more years of electrical engineering experience in system protection and/or automation and integration within the power industry.
• Experience developing relay settings and documentation, protection coordination, CT performance evaluations, short-circuit studies, and other power system studies.
• Experience designing, specifying, procuring, integrating, configuring, and commissioning utility SCADA systems, protective relays, IEDs, HMIs, RTUs, and communication networks.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Strong interpersonal skills, a responsive attitude, and interest in learning the business side of the company.
• Professional Engineer licensing as a US PE or Canadian P.Eng is preferred.
