Senior Engineer (High Current Lab)

Location: Surrey, British Columbia, Canada; onsite lab role

Salary: CAD 109,680–138,720 per year

What you will do

• Lead high current testing programs, including test planning, setup design, execution, troubleshooting, and maintenance planning.
• Develop test methods, custom setups, and technical enhancements to expand laboratory capabilities.
• Plan and manage multiple projects, coordinating schedules, resources, risks, quality, and client expectations.
• Prepare and review technical proposals, including scopes, effort estimates, and pricing support.
• Work with clients, utilities, OEMs, and industry groups to define test programs and provide technical guidance.
• Mentor junior engineers and technologists while promoting safe work practices and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in British Columbia; internationally trained engineers may be considered if eligible for EGBC registration.
• At least seven years of experience in high current testing, power systems, or a similar environment.
• Hands-on experience with testing, setup design, and technical problem solving.
• Strong communication skills, client engagement capability, and interest or experience in business development.
• Experience mentoring technical teams and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
