Manager, Rigging (Live Events/Venue Operations): Planning and delivering rigging overlay solutions across LA28 venues with an accent on technical drawings, vendor coordination, safety compliance, and integration with temporary and permanent structures. Focus on coordinating complex installation schedules, managing operational risks, and confirming system readiness for Olympic and Paralympic Games events.

Location: Onsite at the Downtown Los Angeles-based office, Los Angeles, California, United States. LA28 does not provide relocation assistance.

Annual base salary: $120,000–$140,000.

LA28 is an independent, non-profit, privately funded organizing committee delivering the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

What you will do

  • Plan and deliver rigging overlay scopes across assigned venues.
  • Coordinate rigging layouts, technical drawings, documentation, and integration with engineering and design teams.
  • Coordinate vendors and contractors through procurement, installation, testing, and removal of rigging systems.
  • Align rigging systems with venue overlay, infrastructure, temporary structures, and permanent structures.
  • Track budgets, support installation schedules, identify risks, and escalate design, logistics, and installation issues.
  • Support test events, operational readiness, Games-time coordination, and issue response.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of rigging experience in live events, sports, entertainment, or related industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, theater/live entertainment, or a related field.
  • Experience in complex venue environments such as arenas, stadiums, or large-scale events.
  • Working knowledge of rigging systems, equipment, structural coordination principles, and applicable safety standards such as OSHA, ANSI, or ETCP.
  • Experience collaborating with production teams, engineers, vendors, contractors, and multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and rigging plans.
