Sr. Associate, Energy Design Engineering

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States; full-time work in the hirify.global office. Travel to stakeholder offices, government agencies, Games venues, and facilities may be required. hirify.global does not provide relocation assistance.

Annual base salary: $88,000–$115,000.

hirify.global is an independent, non-profit, privately funded organizing committee responsible for delivering the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

What you will do

• Develop detailed electrical studies, load requirements, energy capacity analyses, and supply-gap assessments for competition and non-competition venues.
• Analyze power-supply risks and recommend solutions for loading, reliability, and resiliency requirements.
• Track venue design revisions and evaluate their impact on temporary power-provider overlays across HV, MV, and LV infrastructure.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders, temporary power providers, electrical design engineers, and external delivery partners through technical review and approval processes.
• Align Energy design development with Venue Infrastructure, Technology, Broadcast, Energy Program Management, and other functional areas.
• Support requirements gathering and approval processes with the International Olympic Committee and International Paralympic Committee.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 3 years of experience assessing, designing, or implementing electrical infrastructure.
• Experience with electrical design development and implementing energy solutions into electrical designs.
• Experience with medium- and low-voltage temporary installations in building, construction, or events environments.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, organization, problem-solving, and collaborative decision-making skills.
• Fluency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to present technical information to executives, contractors, advisors, and government agencies.
• Ability to work full-time from the Los Angeles hirify.global office and in an open-plan office environment.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM360.
• Experience working with electric utilities or temporary power providers.
• Experience managing change and mitigating technical risks.
