Senior Analyst Investment Strategy (Finance)

Location: Hybrid, based in Chicago, Illinois, United States; occasional overnight domestic travel may be required.

Annual salary: $90,400–$124,300, plus a 15% annual bonus for eligible positions.

What you will do

• Monitor existing investments across pension, post-retirement healthcare, savings plan, and foundation trusts.
• Support due diligence and underwriting of new investment relationships using internal analyses and third-party research.
• Research and evaluate investment opportunities across private equity, real estate, fixed income, equities, and hedge fund strategies.
• Assist with special projects related to trust asset management and investment implementation.
• Collaborate with Investment Operations on reporting and analysis.
• Work closely with the Managing Director, Chief Investment Officer, and other Investment Office members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field from an accredited four-year university.
• 4–7 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field, including at least 2 years in investments or an adjacent finance-related area.
• Working knowledge of institutional investment strategies, investment practices, economic principles, and performance measurement.
• Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement based in Chicago, Illinois.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in financial engineering, CFA, or MBA.
• Experience with Aladdin, MSCI Barra, Bloomberg, or Moody’s DB PFaroe.
• Experience with AI and/or Python coding.
