Analyst, Capital Markets (Renewable Energy)

Location: Hybrid role based near a Clearway office in the United States, including San Francisco, San Diego, Scottsdale, Houston, Denver, or Princeton; office-based employees typically work in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Salary: $83,000–$100,000 USD annual base pay, plus eligibility for an annual cash bonus.

What you will do

• Support the structuring, negotiation, closing, and funding of tax equity, construction debt, term debt, and cash equity transactions.
• Participate in deal teams covering due diligence, financial modeling, documentation, negotiation, and transaction execution.
• Build, maintain, standardize, and improve reusable Excel-based project finance models across development, construction, financing, and asset management.
• Implement financing terms and underwriting standards in project finance models while communicating requirements to internal stakeholders.
• Develop relationships with external capital providers and represent the project finance team in internal project discussions.
• Prepare transaction updates, risk and benefit reports, and financing guidance for development and executive leadership teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math, Science, Finance, Business, or Economics, with relevant business or finance experience where applicable.
• At least one year of energy project finance work experience or internship.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with project finance modeling, including discounted cash flow models involving multiple parties.
• Experience creating reusable Excel templates and an understanding of data tables and databases.
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, prioritization, teamwork, and deadline management.
• Employment authorization sponsorship is not available now or in the future; candidates must already be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• U.S. renewable energy project finance experience.
• Energy or infrastructure industry experience.
• Background with VBA or Python and interest in developing deeper expertise through real-world projects.
