Financial Analyst, Strategic Finance

Location: Remote or hybrid remote within the USA, limited to CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, KS, ME, MA, MD, NJ, NC, NY, OH, OR, TN, TX, VA, and WA; not eligible for hire within Chicago city limits. Meaningful overlap with Pacific time is required.

Salary: $80,000–$110,000 per year plus an equity grant for roles based in California, Colorado, Maryland, New Jersey, Washington, or New York.

What you will do

• Build and maintain planning models covering headcount, capacity, and spend.
• Own recurring reporting, monthly variance analysis, and initial explanations of performance.
• Partner with business stakeholders to track and review spend and identify anomalies.
• Build metrics and dashboards to measure functional efficiency.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses for the executive team.

Requirements

• Approximately 1–3 years of experience in FP&A, business finance, consulting, banking, data analysis, or a comparable analytical role.
• Strong Excel skills and solid financial fundamentals, including careful quality checks.
• Clear written communication and the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to learn quickly and take ownership of meaningful scope.
• Working style focused on automating repeatable work.
• Availability for meaningful overlap with Pacific time and eligibility to work from one of the listed US states.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI tools, BI tools, or SQL.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for team and company onsite events.
