Associate Analyst - Technology

Location: Baltimore, Maryland, United States; hybrid work with up to one day per week from home

Base salary: $110,000–$140,000 per year, plus potential discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Provide fundamental equity research support for technology investment analysts.
• Build and update financial models, including three-statement models.
• Assist with quarterly earnings analysis and write takeaway summaries.
• Conduct industry and thematic deep dives and perform preliminary research on new investment ideas.
• Attend conferences and meetings with public company management teams, including C-suite executives.
• Develop investment insights and potentially rate and recommend stocks after several years of experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic background.
• At least one year of relevant work experience; equity research or investment banking experience is preferred.
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills, including previous experience building three-statement models.
• Demonstrated interest in equity investing and financial markets, with strong research, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Applicants must have US work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship.
• FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Nice to have

• Progress toward the CFA designation, especially successful completion of at least Level 1.
• Familiarity with Python and AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a performance-driven environment.
