Vice President, Human Resources Business Partner (AI)

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid 70/30 work model with 70% in-office collaboration.

Salary: $272,200–$490,100 annually, with potential eligibility for a discretionary bonus, incentive compensation, or equity award.

What you will do

• Advise executive leaders on organizational design, talent strategy, succession planning, and performance enablement.
• Lead HR strategy for complex enterprise functions and translate business and scientific priorities into workforce strategies.
• Drive enterprise-wide organizational, cultural, and workforce transformation initiatives.
• Reimagine roles, workflows, and team structures to leverage AI, automation, and new ways of working.
• Use workforce planning, people analytics, and AI-driven insights to identify capability gaps and guide talent investments.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing HRBP team while collaborating across HR functions and executive forums.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 15+ years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in HR leadership.
• Experience advising executives in complex, global organizations and leading enterprise transformation initiatives.
• Deep expertise in organizational design, talent strategy, succession planning, and performance enablement.
• Experience managing and developing direct reports, navigating matrixed environments, and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, adaptability, integrity, and strategic problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with digital and AI-enabled workforce transformation, people analytics, and automation.
• Experience in biotech, pharma, or another complex, science-driven industry.
• Ability to connect business strategy, scientific innovation, and people strategy to measurable outcomes.
