Senior Network Engineer

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; onsite 4 days per week

Salary: $95,000–$140,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Manage firewall policies, VLANs, routing, switching, wireless configurations, VPN connectivity, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Participate in change management to maintain a reliable and secure enterprise network.
• Deploy network infrastructure for new office locations, including hardware installation, rack and stack, copper and fiber patching, and ISP circuit turn-up.
• Implement standardized LAN, WAN, wireless, and network security designs.
• Support Cisco ISE and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense environments.
• Collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, and End User Services teams while improving network standards, documentation, and operating procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5–7 years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure in medium to large enterprise environments.
• Experience administering Cisco Meraki security appliances, switches, and wireless infrastructure.
• Experience with enterprise LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless networks, Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, routing, switching, and network protocols.
• Experience with firewall policies, NAT, site-to-site VPNs, segmentation, wireless security, packet capture, and troubleshooting tools.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States is required; U.S. employment opportunities generally require U.S. citizenship or permanent residence.

Nice to have

• CCNP Enterprise certification.
• Experience with OSPF, BGP, Cisco Meraki AutoVPN, SD-WAN, and Microsoft Azure networking.
• Experience with LogicMonitor, SolarWinds, PRTG, ThousandEyes, PowerShell, Python, REST APIs, or network automation.
• Experience with ITIL-based change management and operational support.
