TL;DR
Project Director (Pipeline): Managing complex pipeline and related facility projects from proposal through completion with an accent on cross-functional team leadership, financial control, scheduling, procurement, permitting, and client delivery. Focus on integrating engineering and environmental disciplines, managing project risks and change orders, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Location: San Antonio, Texas; may be based in an existing hirify.global office anywhere in the United States. Travel is required as necessary.

Salary: USD $169,852.80–$200,000 per year, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

  • Lead complex pipeline and related facility projects from proposal development through completion as the primary project advocate and communication point.
  • Direct cross-functional teams covering right-of-way acquisition, engineering, civil and environmental surveys, permitting, procurement, and other disciplines.
  • Manage project resources, subcontractors, procurement execution, budgets, cash flow, billing, earned value tracking, and profitability.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules for development and construction, including critical milestones and interdependencies.
  • Manage proposals, project risks, mitigation plans, change orders, documentation, quality control, and client deliverables.
  • Communicate with clients, project teams, and management while maintaining project safety and timely reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, business management, finance, environmental sciences, or construction management.
  • 15+ years of project experience, including at least 5 years leading cross-discipline teams.
  • Experience managing complex pipeline, transmission, fiber, or other linear infrastructure projects.
  • Experience integrating engineering, surveys, permitting, procurement, and right-of-way disciplines.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, conflict-management, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, MS Project, quality control, project reporting, and detailed project administration.

Nice to have

  • Large-diameter FERC 7(c) pipeline expertise.
  • Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) experience.
