Sr Project Manager

Location: Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, United States; hybrid. The role may require extended hours during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

Annual salary: $100,800–$138,600, plus a 15% annual bonus for eligible positions.

What you will do

• Manage transmission, substation, distribution, gas, information technology, and business initiative projects.
• Lead cross-functional teams and contract resources through business case approval, planning, execution, and project closeout.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, safety performance, quality assurance, and change management.
• Coordinate with senior management, customers, vendors, governmental and regulatory officials, and other external stakeholders.
• Oversee project scheduling, requirements engineering, design and engineering activities, procurement, environmental analysis, real estate, and financial reporting.
• Provide structured project reports and develop strategic plans for implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field with 4–7 years of relevant project management experience, or a high school diploma with 6–9 years of relevant experience.
• CAPM certification or the ability to obtain it within two years; PMP certification fulfills this requirement.
• Documented success managing projects, strong independent judgment, interpersonal, leadership, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead teams while handling conflicting priorities in a multitask environment.
• Valid driver’s license and access to an automobile.
• Knowledge of the power industry, utility work, or the relevant functional area; ability to use AI tools in day-to-day work.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering, an advanced technical degree, or business administration.
• PMP certification or Professional Engineer license.
• Experience with utility design, planning, construction, or information technology.
