Training Supervisor - Overhead Distribution (Electric Utility)

Location: Onsite in Chicago, Illinois, United States

Annual salary: $96,800–$133,100, plus a 15% annual bonus for eligible positions.

What you will do

• Direct and optimize Electric Operations training and on-the-job training programs for distribution operations.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise Crew Leaders, Demos, and Apprentices/Helpers.
• Provide coaching, training, performance evaluation, and timely recognition for employees.
• Plan resource coverage and assess the effectiveness of training and OJT programs.
• Manage large-scale training projects, departmental budgets, and business initiatives.
• Maintain relationships with other departments and manage union-management interactions, including local union steward engagement.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of internal utility experience or equivalent external industry experience.
• Supervisory experience will be evaluated during the interview process.
• Candidates without qualifying internal supervisory experience may need to complete a Supervisory Assessment after the interview.
• Leadership, facilitation, training program instruction, and program management experience.
• Knowledge of field processes, safety guidelines, organizational methods, and time management.
• Overhead line worker field experience is preferred.

• Bachelor's degree.
• Extensive knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and related procedures, policies, and processes.
