US Training Manager - Operations & Production (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Leawood, Kansas, United States; travel to U.S. manufacturing and distribution sites approximately 30–40%.

What you will do

• Design and standardize 30-60-90 day onboarding programs for hourly and production roles.
• Develop cross-training matrices, structured skill pathways, certification processes, and validation tools for production teams.
• Create role-based training materials, job instruction guides, checklists, and leader tools.
• Implement train-the-trainer capabilities and practical, visual, hands-on learning methods at each site.
• Partner with Plant Managers, Operations, HR, Safety, and Quality leaders to align training with operational KPIs, safe work practices, product quality, and customer delivery.
• Track retention, time to proficiency, cross-training coverage, and safety and quality trends to continuously improve programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Development, Operations, or a related field preferred; six years of experience may substitute for the degree.
• At least 5 years of experience in training, manufacturing operations, or workforce development.
• Experience working with hourly or production teams in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Strong understanding of onboarding, adult learning principles, and skills development.
• Ability to influence plant leadership and drive accountability without direct authority, supported by strong organizational and communication skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction. Must be at least 18 and able to pass post-offer background, drug, and physical screening.
