Senior Principal Electrical Engineer (AI Datacenters)

Location: Hybrid role based in Anoka, Minnesota; St. Louis, Missouri; Tucson, Arizona; or Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. Relocation assistance is provided.

Compensation range: $123,500–$229,500 annually, depending on position and employee location. Annual incentives may also apply.

What you will do

• Define and architect rack-level AC, DC, and HVDC power distribution topologies for hyperscale and AI-driven datacenters.
• Investigate solid-state protection, intelligent power switching and metering, and AI-enabled load balancing.
• Evaluate power sidecar systems, in-rack busbars, and modular busway systems.
• Translate innovative concepts into manufacturable, standards-compliant solutions.
• Guide engineering teams through rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept development.
• Anticipate developments such as AI-scale computing, 1MW+ racks, and OCP-HPR standards while collaborating with technology vendors and industry standards bodies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience required; 15+ years preferred.
• Experience in data center environments, power electronics, or telecom power systems.
• Experience architecting innovative electrical systems and bringing new concepts to market.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work from one of the specified United States locations in the hybrid role; relocation assistance is available.
