Senior Electrical Engineering Specialist

Salary: $149,671.54–$171,053.19 per year

What you will do

• Lead planning, design, and post-design activities for electrical systems on facilities projects.
• Supervise and develop electrical designs for power, lighting, and fire alarm systems using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Design medium-voltage and low-voltage power distribution systems, including 15kV, 480V, 208V, and 120V systems.
• Perform short-circuit, overcurrent protective device coordination, and arc-flash hazard studies using SKM.
• Prepare engineering documents, specifications, cost estimates, project plans, and schedules.
• Provide construction observation and field support, respond to RFIs, review equipment submittals, support proposals, and mentor electrical engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 10 years of relevant experience as an electrical engineer.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IBC, Life Safety Code, and related electrical engineering standards.
• Strong computer, written, oral communication, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to lead projects, work independently under pressure, meet deadlines, and collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Leadership, mentoring, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer license.
• Experience with energy and load calculation software.
• Understanding of architectural, mechanical, civil, and structural disciplines.
