Location: Remote in Missouri, United States

Salary: $107,700–$199,300 per year

What you will do

  • Lead and manage complex, sensitive, and high-impact internal investigations from inception through resolution.
  • Define investigation strategies, preserve evidence, conduct interviews, analyze records, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Evaluate allegations for violations of domestic laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Recommend corrective and disciplinary actions, communicate risks, and track remediation through completion.
  • Advise management, in-house counsel, and Corporate Compliance leadership on complex compliance matters.
  • Maintain detailed case files, review junior investigators' reports, support compliance policies, and lead special projects including audits, training, and HIPAA compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Law, Healthcare Administration, Health Policy, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience conducting and managing complex investigations, auditing, or risk analysis.
  • 7+ years of experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting state and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Exceptional judgment, discretion, documentation, communication, and stakeholder-influence skills.
  • Ability to communicate directly with federal and state regulators and guide junior investigation staff.
  • Must be able to work remotely from Missouri, United States.

Nice to have

  • Juris Doctorate.
  • Prosecutorial experience.
  • Experience as an investigator within a large corporation or federal agency.
  • Certified Fraud Investigator certification.
