Director, Compliance (Healthcare)

Location: Remote - Nationwide (United States)

Salary: $130,000–$165,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s healthcare compliance program, policies, procedures, and controls.
• Monitor federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, CMS guidelines, OIG guidance, and revenue cycle requirements.
• Lead compliance risk assessments, investigations, audits, monitoring activities, and corrective action plans.
• Analyze audit findings and compliance metrics, maintaining documentation for regulatory readiness and reporting outcomes to executive leadership.
• Deliver compliance education, coach leaders and associates, and promote ethical conduct and reporting of concerns.
• Advise executive and operational leadership while leading and developing compliance team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in healthcare compliance, regulatory affairs, audit, risk management, or revenue cycle leadership.
• 5+ years of experience managing teams and compliance programs.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA, CMS, OIG guidance, and healthcare compliance frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience conducting investigations, audits, and risk assessments.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and executive stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant healthcare, business, public health, or legal field.
• Healthcare compliance certification such as CHC, CHPC, CHRC, or CCEP.
• Experience with large, multi-site healthcare systems or revenue cycle organizations.
• Experience presenting compliance findings to executive leadership and boards.
