Senior Cybersecurity Associate (Microsoft Azure)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; onsite 4 days per week

Salary: $95,000–$140,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Operate, improve, optimize, and deploy security tools including Azure Security, Microsoft Defender, Rapid7, and Cisco Umbrella.
• Lead and participate in incident response investigations and implement corrective and proactive threat-mitigation measures.
• Develop and maintain Python, PowerShell, and other scripts to automate security processes and integrate security solutions into workflows.
• Operate the vulnerability management program and coordinate remediation with technology teams.
• Perform threat hunting, identify unknown or active cyber threats, and mentor junior staff.
• Use public and proprietary threat intelligence feeds to prepare for emerging threats.

Requirements

• Six to ten or more years of experience in security analysis or a related position, preferably in financial services.
• Strong knowledge of Azure, Active Directory, SQL, Office 365, and Windows server and desktop operating systems.
• Experience managing SIEM, DLP, SOAR, IAM, endpoint, and IDPS security tools.
• Experience administering vulnerability management solutions such as Nessus, Qualys, or Rapid7.
• Strong scripting, automation, analytical, critical-thinking, prioritization, and communication skills.
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States; U.S. citizens or permanent residents are hired for U.S. employment opportunities.

Nice to have

• A four-year college degree or equivalent industry training and certifications such as CEH, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GSEC.
• Familiarity with NIST, CIS-18, and ISO frameworks.
• Experience operating and innovating in a small, fast-paced team while balancing strategic and tactical needs.
