Security Engineer (Microsoft Security)

What you will do

• Administer and optimize Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, including alert triage, investigation, and response.
• Monitor security events in a SIEM such as Microsoft Sentinel, investigate suspicious activity, and escalate incidents.
• Participate in incident response, including containment, eradication, documentation, and runbook development.
• Perform enterprise vulnerability scanning and coordinate remediation with infrastructure and cloud teams.
• Validate secure configuration baselines and support hardening, patching, device security, and identity and access controls.
• Provide technical documentation and evidence for regulatory audits and cybersecurity assessments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security operations, or security engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint or comparable endpoint detection and response tools.
• Experience with SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or QRadar.
• Strong experience in security investigations and incident response.
• Experience with PowerShell, Python, or KQL scripting and automation, plus working knowledge of Azure or another cloud platform.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience, and Security+, SC-200, CySA+, or comparable certification or experience.
