What you will do

• Analyze integrated datasets from healthcare providers, members, patients, and third parties.
• Lead large-scale analytics projects and develop new reporting tools based on business goals.
• Research cost, utilization, financial, and medical spend trends to identify improvement opportunities.
• Investigate data, process, and technical issues, identify root causes, and communicate findings.
• Present data-driven recommendations to internal and external stakeholders and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Mentor junior analysts, delegate tasks, and validate analytical work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, public health, health informatics, healthcare administration, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience working with large databases, data verification, and data management, or at least 3 years of IT experience.
• Working knowledge of SQL and querying languages, including table creation and indexing, query optimization, and stored procedures.
• Experience with data modeling, trend analysis, root-cause analysis, and statistical, analytical, or data-mining techniques.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Healthcare analytics experience and knowledge of claims, encounters, DRGs, Medicare, Medicaid, and Marketplace programs.
• Python or R programming experience.
• Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools, financial modeling, claims pricing, contract or network analysis, and ROI evaluation.
• Familiarity with claims payment, utilization management, provider or vendor contracts, and risk adjustment.
