Claim Representative General Liability

Location: Hybrid, Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, United States

Salary: $67,000–$110,600 annual base salary, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Investigate, evaluate, reserve, negotiate, and resolve General Liability bodily injury and property damage claims throughout the claim life cycle.
• Analyze coverage, policy information, facts, allegations, liability, damages, and contribution potential.
• Collect statements, medical records, damage documentation, and other evidence from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, experts, and relevant agencies.
• Establish and adjust indemnity and expense reserves while maintaining accurate claim files, diary systems, and required documentation.
• Negotiate settlements, use alternative resolution methods, and manage litigated claims with staff or panel counsel when required.
• Attend depositions, mediations, arbitrations, pre-trials, trials, and other legal proceedings as needed while maintaining regulatory and quality compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• At least one year of bodily injury liability claim handling or liability claim experience, or successful completion of the hirify.global Claim Representative training program.
• Two years of bodily injury liability claim handling and commercial claim handling experience preferred.
• Knowledge of claims handling, litigation, insurance contracts, investigation principles, medical matters, value determination, and settlement techniques.
• Strong organizational, analytical, judgment, communication, negotiation, and customer-service skills.
• Insurance license(s) may be required and generally must be obtained within three months of starting, with continuing education as mandated.
