Vice President, Equity Research, Wealth Management Solutions (Finance)

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States

Base salary: $196,700–$270,000 per year, plus potential variable compensation.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop the equity research team while setting expectations for quality, coverage, performance, and professional growth.
• Define research methodologies, quality standards, governance processes, financial models, valuation frameworks, and written research publications.
• Direct sector coverage strategy, analyst onboarding, succession planning, and continuity of coverage during portfolio management changes.
• Partner with portfolio managers and stakeholders across portfolio construction, governance, compliance, product, and advisor engagement.
• Lead recruiting, onboarding, and talent pipeline initiatives to build a scalable research organization.
• Oversee advisor-facing research content, market commentary, webinars, and investment communications.

Requirements

• 12+ years of equity research experience, including fundamental analysis, financial modeling, valuation, and investment thesis development.
• 5+ years leading research analysts or investment professionals.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• Experience in asset management, investment advisory, separately managed accounts, institutional investment, or equity research.
• Series 86/87, 65, 66, or another applicable license or registration, or the ability to obtain required licenses within the established timeframe.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders, portfolio managers, advisors, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Master of Business Administration, Chartered Financial Analyst designation, or another advanced degree.
